As the home of modern painting and decorating, we are always on the lookout for new and innovative techniques and paint styles. If you are unsure if we will be able to help you, then please contact us here.

  • This depends on your requirements and the parameters of the project. If you have a tight deadline, we have the team and the infrastructure to facilitate this. It’s worth bearing in mind that this may result in a less comfortable living experience if you wish to remain in the property.

In that instance, we would ask which areas you need access to, such as where you will sleep, eat, and relax and how long you'd like it to take. We will suggest a timeframe from there.

Here is a guideline example of how long it would take to paint a Victorian terraced house.

Interior – Five-bedroom Victorian terraced house – one month

Interior - Principal bedroom - one week

Interior - Hall, stairwell, and landing – two weeks

Interior – Limewash (walls only) in the principal bedroom – one week

Exterior - Front façade – two weeks

  • We generally have a six-week lead time but if you need your work completed before this, please do get in touch. We know things can happen last minute and we are always willing to be flexible.

  • There are several important variables when it comes to painting and decorating, which are factored into our pricing.

    • Client care and communication - each client, no matter the project size, will be assigned a project manager to ensure fluent communication between all parties. This results in an efficient, stress-free project with true timings and any snagging dealt with promptly and properly.

    • Preparation - sanding and rubbing down surfaces means things adhere properly. If this stage is rushed or overlooked, it will look great for a month or two and then start to flake and peel.

    • Correct base coats and products used -. Ensuring the longevity of the work takes time. If you don't use the right primers and base products, things will start to flake and peel

    • Materials - we include all necessary materials in our estimates. If you haven't yet selected the paint you want to use, we will still put in a provisional cost so that you have an understanding of the approximate total amount. Often, estimates don't include this, and it can come as a surprise when you get started.

    • Equipment - we have all of our own equipment, and you will never need to provide us with anything.

    • Protection - from dust sheets to floor protection and tapes, we use different types of protection to minimise the potential for paint to get anywhere it shouldn't and ensure things like door knobs, handles and switches are properly protected. We don't expect you to protect your furniture; we handle this.

    • Insurance - our team is fully insured, and in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, we will cover it.

    • Correct access - from scaffolding to ladders, we will always use correct access to ensure the job is done properly and to minimise the risk of accidents.

It's so important we have a consultation so that we can assess the requirements together and understand the scope of work properly. If you can send us images or videos of the space prior to this, it will help us quote appropriately.

Here is a guideline example of how much it would cost, including all woodwork and ceilings, unless otherwise specified.

    Interior – Five-bedroom Victorian terraced house – £9,500

    Interior - Principle Bedroom - £850

Interior - Hall stairwell and landing – £2,500

Interior – Limewash (walls only) Principle bedroom – £1250

    Exterior - Front façade house – £2500

All properties are different. These are approximate guidelines based on averages.

  • With 10 years’ experience, we’ve got connections throughout the industry. We are happy to coordinate and supervise where required and appropriate, so that you just have one point of contact and there are no accountability issues.

  • Whilst we encourage the use of natural/sustainably manufactured paints with low VOCs, we will paint with whichever brand you like. We are not tied to a single brand and have flexibility.

Some recent paint brands we have worked with include:

    Coat

    Lick

    Edward Bulmer

    Rose Uniacke - Graphenstone

    Farrow & Ball

    House of Hackney

    Little Greene

    Rose of Jericho

    Keim

    Bauewerk

    Neptune

We are always looking out for new innovative brands that improve the way that paints are manufactured to decrease the impact on the environment.

If you are looking for advice on what colours to choose, we are very happy to introduce you to colour consultants who we have worked with successfully in the past.

  • We understand that change often happens throughout a project, which is why every single project (aside from small day works) will have a project manager. This is a bespoke service that we implemented to ensure seamless communication between all parties as efficiently as possible.

The two main factors that undermine a successful project are confusion and surprises. The project manager’s job is to monitor the progress of the project, ensuring the client is kept up to speed and that any changes are communicated to all parties as efficiently as possible.

  • We cannot give warranties because we are not property surveyors and, as such, cannot guarantee the substrates we’re working on.

What we can guarantee is that we will follow due process and will do everything we can to provide great customer service. This includes clearly communicating, and, where possible, solving any issues that may arise during the work, as well as ensuring that any issues that may arise in the future are not linked to substandard decorating.

  • Yes. We use a reliable scaffolding company that we can enlist as part of our service.

  • We have a highly trustworthy team. New members join us via a thorough recruitment and onboarding process with regular check-ins with our people & culture team to ensure good communication and staff satisfaction.

  • We can advise on the scope of work, but we are not interior designers. We have colour consultants and interior designers who we have very successful relationships with, and we would be happy to make an introduction or collaborate with anyone you may choose to appoint.

  • No. We work with a range of residential, commercial, and heritage properties, including restaurants, hotels, churches, and cathedrals, to name a few. If you are looking for a skilled team/individual and desire a clear level of communication and customer service throughout, then we would love to hear from you.
